Positive
Behaviour for
Learning (PBL)
At Stafford Heights State School we embed the Positive Behaviour For Learning (PBL) framework throughout all areas of school life.
What is PBL?
One of the advances in school-wide discipline is the emphasis on school-wide systems of support that include proactive strategies for defining, teaching and supporting appropriate student behaviours to create positive school environments. A continuum of positive behaviour support for all students within SHSS is implemented in all areas including the classroom and non-classroom settings. Attention is focused on creating and sustaining school-wide systems of support that improve lifestyle results – personal, health, social and family for all children.
"Staffie" is the SHSS mascot and PBL icon, and helps us make our rules and values visible, and expectations for students clear.
Our School Expectations
Stafford Heights State School supports students to demonstrate appropriate behaviour around our four expectations. These expectations apply to every context in the school.
Respect for Self
Respect for Others
Respect for Learning
Respect for Property
